Library 2.0
Walt Crawford has devoted an entire issue of his Cites and Insights publication to the topic of Library 2.0. I haven't read it yet, but it appears to be worth a gander. He also has a piece on folksonomies in a more recent issue.

I've printed out a copy of Crawford's 32 page effort, a summary and commentary on everything Library 2.0 he could find. I've put a copy on the counter, but I'd say you could get by with reading/scanning the first 5 or 6 pages and the last 2 pages.
Crawford distinguishes between Library 2.0 (the useful real ideas) and "Library 2.0" the hype and empty rhetoric that so typically accompany any new "meme" or bandwagon, and tries to separate the wheat from the chaff in what he finds written on the subject, mostly from library blogs.

I liked the first six pages, where he points out that Library 2.0 will be an evolution, not a revolution, and that Library 2.0 takes old ideas and applies them to new technology. However, the conclusion (the last two pages) sounded bitter and defensive. I only skimmed the in between stuff.
By the way, you can print double-sided to the color printer in the hallway. If anyone wants help setting that up, let me know.
